2008 Alabama Men’s Encounter

 "Live It!"

We’re excited about this year’s speaker, Maury Davis. He was arrested at the age of eighteen for the crime of first-degree murder. Following his trial and conviction, he served eight and one-half years in the Texas Department of Corrections. During his incarceration, Maury found his Savior in Jesus Christ and led a revival among his fellow prisoners. You’ll hear his story how God set him free. He now pastors an Assemblies of God church of over 3,000 in Tennessee. Our theme for this year is, “Live It!” Paul wrote, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God.” Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
We’re fighting the enemy in FAITH. We’re not backing down. We’re not moving from our stand for God and our love for His kingdom. We must “Live It” through Jesus Christ! There is nothing like a room full of men worshipping God and weeping for a move of God in their homes and churches. We’re sending posters for you to post and additional information soon. Two Types of Registration: FULL or Weekend ONLY:


WEEKEND ONLY is Friday-Saturday (Conference, lodging and two meals)
$55 per man to stay in cabin—$60 per man to stay in lodge while they last.


FULL PACKAGE—Thursday-Saturday (The above plus Thursday night lodging, Grill Off and service)
$70 per man to stay in cabin—$80 per man to stay in lodge while they last. 


Registrations after Aug. 31st add $5.00 per man.
Conference only—$25
Thursday Night Lodging $10 extra for early arrivals for fishing/golf/bike ride.
Pre-Registration $25 per man (transferable but non-refundable)
“Early Bird Special” :Sr. Pastor Free with 5 or more men attending if registration post-marked by Aug.15th.

Youth Pastors and young men between ages of 16 and 20 half price if registration post-marked by Aug.15th.

Pastors, bring your men and we’ll do everything we can to send them home as men on fire for God and behind you and your vision for the local church and community.

“Men’s Grill Off!”

Bring your grill, charcoal, meat, and your recipes to the 2nd Grill Competition on Thursday Sept.11th. Open at 10 AM. Judging starts at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00, live music, and service. We’ll have 3 categories: beef, pork, and poultry. Prizes awarded! See brochure for more details.
